A little preparation helps the appointment go smoothly.
If you are unsure about anything below, you do not need to solve it before contacting us. Submit your request and we can discuss the details during scheduling.
What identification should I bring?
Each signer should have acceptable, current government-issued photo identification available at the appointment.
Does the mobile fee include notarization?
The mobile appointment fee covers travel, scheduling, and mobile service. Each notarial act is $10 unless a package price or other arrangement has been confirmed in advance.
Are evenings and weekends more expensive?
No separate evening or weekend surcharge is currently added. Appointments remain subject to availability.
Can the notary provide legal advice?
No. A notary cannot advise you about document content, legal rights, legal effect, or which notarial certificate should be used. Those questions should be directed to the appropriate attorney or document provider.
Should I sign the document before the appointment?
Please do not sign in advance when the signature must be witnessed by the notary. If you are unsure, wait until the appointment.
Do I need witnesses?
Witness requirements depend on the document. If witnesses are required, that should be confirmed before the appointment so appropriate arrangements can be made.
What payment methods are accepted?
Available payment methods will be confirmed during scheduling along with the expected fee for your appointment.
What if I am not sure which service I need?
That is fine. Select “Other / Not Sure” on the appointment request form and briefly describe the document or situation. We can determine whether the request is within the scope of notarial service.
Is submitting the appointment form a confirmed booking?
No. The form submits a request. Your appointment is confirmed only after Bluegrass Mobile Notary contacts you directly to confirm availability, location, scope, and expected pricing.
